This is just a note to give you some feedback on my recent trip to Morocco. I had a lovely time and it far surpassed my expectations. Firstly my guide Mustafa was excellent. I always felt safe and he was really helpful and accommodating. On the second last day when I wanted to go to the Jardin Majorelle he managed to fit it into the programme and also I got there before the large queues developed. The accommodation was excellent- the riads were particularly lovely and the overnight stay in the luxury desert camp was truly magical. I was blown away by the scenery. There were too many highlights to list them all. I must go again ! Thank you very much to Mohamed Amraoui at Traverse Morocco I will be recommending you to my family and friends.

Traverse Morocco is the place to go! If you're looking to enjoy your vacation in Morocco, I'd highly advise contacting Traverse. Everyone we encountered was absolutely wonderful. Mohammed helped to coordinate our trip while Abraham provided transportation. Abraham was WONDERFUL! So kind, patient and helpful. Despite our frequent lateness, Abraham was so patient with us and assisted us many times. Love him deep ❤️ Yakob was our tour guide for two days and he was also so helpful, and knowledgeable. He provided us with so much information about Moroccan history. We were able to complete all our planned activities smoothly. Thank you so much for your time and assistance. Will definitely recommend!

Thank you so much for organizing our trip. Since the very begging it was perfect in timing and itinerary. Our guide Hammi was very careful about our comfort and needs explaining the Moroccan culture and traditions. Moreover, Mohammed and Hammi helped us with booking other hotels and finding nice and save locations, organizing transfer as well. We fell in love with Morocco thanks to you! Hope to see you next time while exploring another tour with you’

Before the memory fades, I thought I might give some feedback in my recent adventure (second time in Morocco to update my previous experience). I have probably include these points in the feedback form but just in case…… Firstly, I would like to say that I would ( and already have) recommend Traverse Morocco to my friends for a trip to Morocco. I had a great time. You should probably give Zayed (our driver) a pay rise. What a great ambassador for your company!! Nothing was too much hassle for him, and he was also very professional, courteous and friendly. He was a great driver in terms of navigating the traffic and we always felt safe with his driving. But we have already advised him that he is not such a good singer ! J ( I have him on file singing but its 61MB and wont email!) I could not recommend Zayed highly enough. The accommodation provided was excellent, with standouts being Fes and Ouarzazate…. A fascinating and diverse country, with a new twist at every turn. Something every day made me rethink my perceptions. All in all I had a great time. I would highly recommend both Morocco and Traverse Morocco. Without doubt absolutely Zayed. Any thanks for a great holiday )

  • We have been back for a while and meaning to send you an email. We enjoyed our time in Morocco and our driver (Brahim) was very good. We now understand the “family” Berber structure as you told us about during our initial enquiries. During our travels we got to experience things that the average traveler may not get to do… The whole trip was excellent and the city tour guides were very knowledgable also. As you know I asked lots of questions before booking but can now say your company did a great job and would be happy to recommend your services to all! I had a different picture in mind- Morocco is …not all desert (I pictured it being similar to Dubia- how wrong was I!!) it was a great suprise to discover something different every day- one day in the medina in Fes watching the craftsmen, then the drive over the middle Atlas through []tree covered mountains to descend on the other side and arrive on the edge of great Sand dunes near Merzouga and then a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi desert!! All the accommodation was wonderful… We would however like to say thanks for a great and memorable experience! Well thats enough for now- a couple of photos attached.

From exploring the vibrant cities to the breathtaking desert landscapes, his knowledge and passion brought the culture and history to life. He made sure every detail was taken care of, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the country. The camel trek through the dunes and night under the stars was a highlight. It was the most amazing travel experience we have ever had. All three days offered a different experience, from the travel path, to accommodations, to our journey along the way. Lhoucein was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and a very good driver. We really enjoyed our time with him, he was the best guide and would highly recommend Traverse and Lhoucein equally. Thank you for accommodating our last minute request and making a dream come true for my husband and I. Thank YOU!

Arrive in Fes and meet your driver for a leisure private transfer to the hotel/ riad in the Medina. After checking into your hotel take a guided walking tour to get acquainted with this heritage site. Follow your local guide path through the ancient alleyways of the old medina and be all ears for his history and information. Peer into magnificent mosques and Madrassas to see their carved Moorish arches and mosaics.

Watch artisans playing timeless trades, from tanners straddling vats of lye to ceramicists painting delicate designs in glaze. Get to know the incredibly old tanneries of the city. Where animal skins have been tawed since the 16th century. After lunch, visit Qarawiyyin Mosque and the university, which is the oldest university in the world, built by a female (Fatima Al Fihri in 857-859).

From there, walk towards your riad through the principal streets of the Medina, thus, you’ll visit the rest of the monuments and get to immerse in a local culture. Walk through the blue and white-washed streets of the city to store your luggage at your hotel. Later, come out for lunch and get lost in this blue pearl chasing the beautiful spots for social media photos. Being lost in some places like this would lead you to the hidden gems.

In the late afternoon meet your driver/guide to lead you to the Spanish mosque on the edge of the mountain that has an overlooking view over the blue city. Highly recommended to wait for sunset before coming down for dinner in Outa el Hammam Square or a hotel.

Visit its traditional/caravan market that dates back to the 7th century. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant since Rissani town is famous for Berber Pizza, also known as “Madfouna,” a traditional stuffed flatbread from Morocco’s desert regions. It’s filled with a savory mixture of spiced meat (usually lamb or beef), onions, and herbs, then baked in a clay oven or under hot coals.

Continue to the Sahara desert of Merzouga, upon arrival and if time permits only, discover the wild Sahara desert with a visit to some nomadic Berber families on the edge of Sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy their hospitality, share a cup of tea with them, and get to know more about their lifestyle. As the sun gets started to cool off, it is time to experience the Sahara desert in a different and ancient way. Embark on a 1-hour journey of a camel ride towards your featured accommodation. Your experienced camel leader will give you enough time to enjoy the sunset and do his best to take some fabulous photos.

Upon arrival to the camp, you will be welcomed by a cup of mint tea and check into your luxury tent equipped with a private bathroom. Dinner will be served at the camp and enjoy a piece of live local music later.

Your journey today includes an optional stop at Cedar Forest to see the monkeys again before continuing further to reach Ifrane City. Known as the Switzerland of Morocco due to its chill climate and alpine style. Your drive will give you enough time to enjoy the national park before continuing to Fes.
