Your 2 day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes starts with an early morning. We will collect you from the hotel/riad and start traveling onto and through the Tizi n‘Tichka pass, the direct route towards Ouarzazate. It is a spectacular and dramatic road that presents astonishing views of the snow-topped peaks of the Atlas as well as many Berber villages. We make a stop at AitBenHaddou to view the old and well-known Kasbah of Morocco.
We then descend into Ouarzazate which we pass to then cross the gorges and reach Agdz, where the palm grove of the Draa Valley lines. This is the longest river valley in Morocco. Later the trees will be gone and the strange rock creations of the volcanic mountains of Sahro will lead our way to the desert.
Description automatically generatedAs evening falls we retreat to the comforts and luxury of our desert camp where we will be greeted with mint tea and fresh dates or nuts. The camp is set in a beautiful spot between sand dunes and gives the impression of being alone in the vast African desert while enjoying the comforts of a nomad king. We will enjoy a delicious dinner followed by campfire time beneath the starry African sky. Nothing compares to the millions of stars, silence, and peacefulness of the Sahara. We sleep in luxury canvas tents feeling like we walk into one of the stories from The Arabian Nights.

It was the most amazing travel experience we have ever had. All three days offered a different experience, from the travel path, to accommodations, to our journey along the way. Lhoucein was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and a very good driver. We really enjoyed our time with him, he was the best guide and would highly recommend Traverse and Lhoucein equally. Thank you for accommodating our last minute request and making a dream come true for my husband and I. T…
We had an unforgettable experience traveling through Morocco and the Sahara with our guide, Mohamed! From exploring the vibrant cities to the breathtaking desert landscapes, his knowledge and passion brought the culture and history to life. He made sure every detail was taken care of, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the country. The camel trek through the dunes and night under the stars was a highlight. I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an authentic and enriching adventure!
