Day 1:Tangier – Chefchaouen

Day 2:Chefchaouen – Meknes – Fez

Tour to Fez. Travelling through Morocco’s Rif Mountains you journey south to the ancient Roman town of Volubilis where you will explore the Roman ruins and marvel at the Roman mosaics. A short distance away lies the UNESCO world heritage 17th century imperial city of Meknes. In the old Meknes medina you will see the famous massive gate of Bab el Mansour, the main entrance to the second Alaouite sultan, Mouly Ismail’s 17th century city and the Agdal Basin. Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – desert

Your route crosses Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains and High Atlas Mountains before descending into the Moroccan desert where you follow the Ziz River to the beautiful Ziz Gorge, a desert oasis with vast date palm groves, through the desert town of Erfoud to Merzouga, a small desert Berber village situated on the edge of Morocco’s spectacular Sahara Desert sand dunes known as Erg Chebbi. Day 5:Merzouga exploring area & Camel Ride

Explore Morocco’s desert touring the Merzouga oasis area where you can see the desert Berber in their striking indigo blue ganadoras and turbans, the remains of old ksars (Berber forts), the renowned Moroccan fossil fields and the Moroccan village of Khamlea famous for its Gnaoua singers. Relax at your kasbah in the afternoon until you take a 4-wheel drive excursion through the lower Erg Chebbi sand dunes to your deluxe desert camp on the sand dunes.

Here you meet your local Berber camel guide who will lead you on your camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sun set over the massive sand dunes. (Client’s preferring not to join the camel ride can relax at the camp or enjoy a stroll in the sand dunes.) Returning to your deluxe camp in the heart of Morocco’s beautiful Sahara Desert you spend a magical night under the stars comfortable in your deluxe Berber tent with private ensuite . Day 6:Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Skoura – Ouarzazate

You rise early to watch the sunrise over the desert. After breakfast you return by camel to your Merzouga kasbah and refresh before leaving for the scenic Todra Gorge. Continue your Morocco tour passing through the High Atlas Mountain Berber town of Boumalne Dades and travelling along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the Roses Valley, to the oasis village of Skoura and the old garrison town of Ouarzazate, strategically located on the crossroads of old desert caravan routes.
