Day 1:Marrakech - AitBenHaddou - Ouarzazate

Pick up from your hotel/riad at 9:00am and travel towards the High Atlas Mountains. Cross the mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizi n Tichka 2260m (7414 feet) offering one kind of scenery of mountains, valleys and Berber villages. Visit the extraordinary sight of the Atlas Mountains Kasbah Telouet. The crumbling Kasbah belonged to the powerful Glaoui tribe remembered as the “vulture” sultan and his son who lived there until the 1950’s. Once a beautiful Kasbah, but still worth the visit today as the history and drama will unfold themselves. Then you have the choice to take the main road or travel off-road via the Ounila Valley.

Route that offers unparalleled views of green valleys, rivers, and remarkable colored slopes and hillsides. On your tour of Morocco visit the amazing UNESCO-protected 16th-century sight of Kasbah AitBenHaddou. Take a walk across the river to this Kasbah. Day 2:Ouarzazate - Skoura Oasis - Rose Valley - Bout Gharar - Dades Gorge

In the morning visit the city of Ouarzazate, beginning with the famous Kasbah Taourirt, residence of the Pasha of Marrakech. Then take a route of the Thousand Kasbahs towards the Skoura Oasis. Take a lovely off-road in the oasis passing homes of the local people.

Visit the Kasbah Amridil featured in many Moroccan brochures. Your guide takes you to the Rose Valley (Kella Mgouna) known for its production of Moroccan roses and its variety of beauty products. Your journey continues via Bout Gharar, where you’ll have a chance to meet the Berber nomad families who are still living in the caves, then pass the strange rock creation of Tamnalt Hills, a bizarre rock creation resembling monkey feet. End your day at Dades Gorge, a deep gorge of red and mauve rock. Overnight in Dades Gorge.

Day 3: Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi

Depart Dades Gorge to visit another deep oasis in Morocco, the Todra Gorge. Its cliffs are more than 300 m (984 miles) tall and at their most narrow part, they are mere 20 meters apart. Spend some time appreciating this natural wonder before resuming your trip towards the Sahara Desert. Approaching Merzouga you will see the first sand dunes of the desert.

There your camels will be waiting for you to carry you across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Hop on the back of your camel, or walk during a beautiful sunset. Spend the night in the Nomad Berber tent in the camp surrounded by sand dunes. Entertainment tonight, Dinner & breakfast are included.

Day 4: Erg Chebbi - Merzouga - Rissani - Erfourd

Rise early in the morning to greet the new day and watch the sunrise eliminating the desert, after mint tea and breakfast, return to Merzouga on the saddle of your camels to shower and depart. Today, enjoy the desert scenery. Visit the seasonal lake of Tamezquidate. It has water generally from November to April, May. It is very beautiful and unique to see the contrast between the water and the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. It is home to several bird species. Visit the ancient city of Rissani, where many old Arab dynasties came from.

We see a man wearing the indigo-blue robes distinctive of Saharan people. Enjoy the visit to the old Kasbah, where people still live today and possible visit to the market. Then your desert adventure continues towards Erfroud, known for its date palm trees. You see fences guarding the palms against the desert. Erfourd hosts a yearly date palm festival. Day 5:Erfoud - Midelt - Azrou - Fes

This morning farewell Sahara and travel along the scenic Ziz Valley passing many palm groves and green valleys. You will encounter many local Nomads herding their animals, living in the tents in the fields. View the city of Azrou, famous for woodwork and gorgeous red carpets. Near Azrou visit the cedar forests, where colonies of Barbary Apes will keep you amused.

Then your journey will take you to the city of Ifrane, looking as the Swiss village and popular ski resort. Late afternoon arrival to Fes, drop off at your riad.
