Visit the extraordinary sight of the Atlas Mountains Kasbah Telouet. The crumbling Kasbah belonged to the powerful Glaoui tribe remembered as the “vulture” sultan and his son who lived there until the 1950’s. Once a beautiful Kasbah, but still worth the visit today as the history and drama will unfold themselves. Then you have the choice to take the main road or travel off-road via the Ounila Valley.
Route that offers unparalleled views of green valleys, rivers, and remarkable colored slopes and hillsides. Rise early in the morning to greet the new day and watch the sunrise eliminating the desert, after mint tea and breakfast, return to Merzouga on the saddle of your camels to shower and depart. Today, enjoy the desert scenery. Visit the seasonal lake of Tamezquidate. It has water generally from November to April, May. Then your journey will take you to the city of Ifrane, looking as the Swiss village and popular ski resort. Late afternoon arrival to Fes, drop off at your riad.
