my wife and I really enjoyed our desert tour with Traverse Morocco company. We started from Marrakech passing through the high Atlas Mountains ( Tizi Ntachka ) to the Sahara desert. Our tour guide was the best so far, he answered all my questions and the trip was flexible, we got to stop wherever we wanted he was very patient, knowledgeable, kind and very funny. The tour manager ( Said ) was very quick to respond to all of our emails and messages.
Highly recommend this travel agency for anyone who wants real experience.
This is just a note to give you some feedback on my recent trip to Morocco. I had a lovely time and it far surpassed my expectations. Firstly my guide Mustafa was excellent. I always felt safe and he was really helpful and accommodating. On the second last day when I wanted to go to the Jardin Majorelle he managed to fit it into the programme and also I got there before the large queues developed. The accommodation was excellent- the riads were particularly lovely and the overnight stay in the luxury desert camp was truly magical….
The best time to visit the Sahara Desert is during the cooler months, from October to April, when temperatures are milder and more comfortable for exploring.
No sleeping bag is needed once you book your desert tour with us. Our camps are luxurious and well-equipped, with comfortable beds, heaters, extra blankets,…
The 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour suits travelers who are short on time and would like to combine the bustling city of Marrakech and the historical city of Fes without missing the Sahara desert.
No, you can not do a day trip to the Sahara desert either from Marrakech or Fes. You need at least 2 days to get to the Sahara desert and complete your desert experience. However, there’s another desert that is close to Marrakech called the Agafay desert. A day trip to the Agafay desert is possible but do not expect a real desert where the oasis, sand dunes, and diverse landscapes,… Only dry desert, not sand dunes there.
Moroccan cuisine is diverse and flavorful, known for dishes such as tagine (slow-cooked stews), couscous, and pastilla (a savory pastry). It often features a blend of spices like cumin, saffron, and cinnamon.
Tipping is appreciated for good service in Morocco, especially in restaurants, hotels, and for tour guides. Around 10% of the bill is usually considered appropriate.
